Terms of Service & Booking Conditions

General

BBQ Cleaners Christchurch provides practical BBQ services for residential and selected commercial customers. Services may include cleaning, deep cleaning, assembly, pickup and delivery, selected external parts replacement, and related BBQ support.

• All work is subject to availability, BBQ condition, access, and service suitability.
• We reserve the right to decline any job that is unsafe, unsuitable, or outside our service limits.
• We are not certified gasfitters and do not perform internal gas work.

Bookings and quotes

Quotes and bookings are handled through text, email, phone, website forms, social media, or other agreed communication channels.

• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• A booking is confirmed once you accept a quote or appointment time by text, email, phone, or another agreed method.
• Prices listed on bbqcleaners.co.nz are subject to change without notice.
• We will confirm the current rate before proceeding with the job.
• We may reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, access issues, illness, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances.

Payments

Payment is required once the service is completed unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

• Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise arranged in writing.
• Accepted payment methods may include cash, bank transfer, or online payment link.
• Prices are in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated.
• GST or tax treatment will be stated where applicable.
• Late payments may result in follow-up, administration costs, or suspension of future service until payment is cleared.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or move a booking, please let us know as early as possible so the appointment can be managed properly.

• Cancellations or reschedules should be made at least 24 hours before the appointment.
• Same-day cancellations may incur a $20 call-out fee.
• If we arrive and cannot access the BBQ, property, or agreed work area, the same fee may apply.
• If the job is no longer suitable once inspected, we may adjust, reschedule, or decline the work.

Service conditions

BBQ cleaning involves grease, rust, corrosion, heat marks, age, and pre-existing wear. We take reasonable care, but some issues cannot be reversed.

• We require clear access to the BBQ and a safe work area.
• Water and power may be required depending on the service.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, rust, wear, brittle parts, seized screws, or aged components.
• Cosmetic marks, burn stains, corrosion, heat damage, and permanent staining may not be removable.
• Proceeding with a service confirms acceptance of these service conditions.

Parts and repairs

BBQ Cleaners Christchurch may help with selected external BBQ parts replacement where suitable.

• External parts may include items such as drip trays, knobs, wheels, thermometers, handles, selected igniters, regulators, or other suitable external components.
• Parts depend on brand, model, availability, and condition.
• All supplied parts are new unless otherwise stated.
• Manufacturer warranties apply where available.
• Gas safety issues, internal gas line repairs, gas modifications, and certification work must be handled by a licensed gasfitter.

Pickup and delivery

Pickup and delivery may be available depending on BBQ size, access, location, weather, vehicle suitability, and schedule.

• Customers must provide safe and clear access for pickup and delivery.
• Large, heavy, built-in, or unsafe BBQs may not be suitable for transport.
• Pickup and delivery costs may vary depending on location and job requirements.
• We may decline transport if the BBQ cannot be moved safely.

Liability

While every reasonable care is taken, liability is limited in connection with the service provided.

• We accept no liability for indirect loss, consequential damage, or loss of use.
• We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, rust, wear, brittle parts, seized screws, aged components, or previous incorrect assembly.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the service performed.

Photos and marketing

Before and after photos may be used to record service quality, quote accurately, or show examples of work.

• With your consent, we may take before and after photos of your BBQ.
• Photos may be used for quality assurance, quoting, portfolio use, or marketing purposes.
• Photos will not include identifying personal information without permission.

Customer satisfaction

If you are unhappy with the service, please contact us quickly so we can review the issue properly.

• Please contact us within 48 hours if you are unhappy with the service.
• We will review the concern and, where appropriate, revisit the job.
• Where appropriate, we may offer a partial refund, correction, or another fair resolution.

Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be handled under New Zealand law, with Christchurch as the preferred jurisdiction where applicable.
